The date of foundation of the Training Center can be considered September 30, 1991, when the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Latvia Ltd. "Riman" issues a license for the creation and operation of the Training Center "Textileman" in Riga for a period of five years. Training at the training center was started by 153 students who transferred to this educational institution after the liquidation of the textile manufaktura "Rīgas Manufaktūra" vocational school "Tekstilnieks" on November 1, 1991.
Students at the Learning Center "Tekstilnieks" could acquire the following professions: spinner, weaver, weaver-spinner, repair mechanic, assistant master of painting equipment, electrician and gas-electric welder. The training practice took place in production associations "Riga manufaktūra", in the factories "Cotton", "Red textile", "Zasulauka manufaktura", in the Riga Knitwear Manufacturing Association "Red Rit", in production associations "Riga Textile" and in the factory "Textile".
On August 22, 1995, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia granted Riman SIA a license extension for five years on the right to study at a vocational school, and then the name of the Training Center "Tekstilnieks" was changed to the RIMAN Training Center (abbreviation of the words " Riga Manufaktūra ").
During the period 1995-2006, the RIMAN educators studied the professions: cook, confectioner, bartender, waiter, retailer, audiovisual engineer, hairdresser, makeup artist, nail care specialist, accountant, computer engineer, auto electrician .
Since 2007, the Training Center has implemented vocational, vocational and continuing education programs and offered to acquire professions: specialist in catering services, restaurant services specialist, cook, confectioner, hotel services specialist, hairdresser, hairstyle designer, visor, computer system technician, auto electrician.
On March 10, 2011, the educational institution "Training center" RIMAN "changed the name to the vocational secondary school" RIMAN "in accordance with the status of the educational programs being implemented.
The vocational secondary school "RIMAN" is currently 25 years old. During this period, several thousands of young people have graduated from a private educational institution and have received a profession in catering, hotel and restaurant services in the specialty, beauty industry, computer technology and automotive repair and diagnostics.
Vocational secondary school "RIMAN" can acquire contemporary topical professions, which are demanded not only in Latvia, but also in other European countries. Vocational education at school can be obtained from the 9th and 12th year graduates, as well as those who already have life and professional experience and those who have decided to change the profession or to acquire new competencies.
